WE HAVE DEVELOPED DIFFERENT SOLUTIONS TO REFINE THE EDGES OF OUR PADS: EVERY SOLUTION HAS BEEN ENGINEERED AND DEVELOPED TO EASE THE APPLICATION AND TO OFFER A SUPERIOR QUALITY.
REFINED EDGE
Our innovative Refined Edge features a gradual reduction of the foam towards the edge. This allows a very clean and pleasant design and superior comfort, eliminating any possible points of friction. Any type of stitching can be used, the nice thing about this design is that the foam is not visible from the edge, such as in the traditional pads.
CLOSED EDGE
During the final thermo-molding stage, in a single operation, the pad is cut to shape and the edges are curved, so to prevent the foam from showing around the pad perimeter. The Closed Edge allows to obtain very soft edges, facilitating any type of application in the shorts while eliminating any possible areas of friction.
The overall result is a very pleasant, clean, essential look.
BOTTOM EDGE
During the final process of thermoforming, the perimetral edge is flattened by the down side, leaving the upper side smooth and uniform. In the final thermoforming stage, the perimeter of the pad is pressed from beneath: this type of finish flattens the edge of the pad without stiffening it, leaving the top of the pad looking clean and simple, aesthetically pleasant and ideal for a three needle or four needle stitchings.
UPPER EDGE
Pressed edges can also be carried out on the upper side of the pad, forming a pressed rim that is 6/7 mm wide all along the pad’s perimeter. This more traditional finish is suggested for applications carried out with zig-zag as well as 3 and 4 needle stitching as pressed edge facilitates the process.
OPEN EDGE
Classical pad finish exposing a 2/3 mm foam edge, suggested for entry level products, normally applied with zig zag stitching.
